I HAVE A DREAM
Friday, 19 July 2013 by astroboy
I have a dream of one united Kenya ,where
citizens from all sides of the political divide enjoy the fruits of
their labour in equal measure without suffering any consequences of the
political decisions they make.
I have a dream of one united Kenya, where strikes by any sector of our economy will be a thing of the past, and that the citizens can all enjoy the fruits of their labour without prejudice to whatever political decisions they make.
I have a dream of one united Kenya, where the politicians take decisions that are favourable to the common mwananchi and therefore do not impose VAT on basic commodities that are close to the hearts of the poor.
I have a dream of one united Kenya,Where the electorate will be educated not to vote tribes but leaders who can propagate policies that promote the well-being of the common mwananchi.
I have a dream of one united Kenya, where politicians do not steal a voter's acknowledgement slip and put the country through a fiasco of a judicial process knowing very well that we are wasting taxpayers money on a sham process.
I have a dream of one united Kenya, where election pledges are fulfilled and lives of common mwananchi improved in order to reduce the gap between the poor and the rich.
I have a dream of one united Kenya, where the electorate hold the political parties accountable for decisions that infringe on democracy.Only then shall we as a country move forward to meet the challenges that confront us daily.
If this dream does not come to pass, then it will not be because i did not dream.
